This handmade armor from the far east closely resembles banded mail, except that no metal is used in its construction - it is made of highly flexible wood, treated and enchanted to be no more cumbersome than leather armor. It offers protection equivalent to chain mail +1. In addition to its protective qualities, the armor is completely silent (so it does not cause disadvantage on stealth checks) and can be concealed beneath clothing. For these reasons, it is highly prized, especially by druids and rangers.
