The only thing the party really knows about the oldest Vanthampur boy is his name, and that Mortlock is convinced that Thurstwell and Amrik were behind the conspiracy to have him killed. He was found in his bedroom in the Vanthampur Manor and swiftly dispatched despite a pesky sanctuary spell; a key on his body turned up some correspondence that confirmed the conspiracy as well as an infernal puzzlebox.
